Former VMI ILB Dean Transfers To Maryland

Maryland added to its deep inside linebacker core May 14 by bringing in VMI transfer Stephen Dean. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound redshirt senior was a team captain for the Keydets last year and tallied 117 tackles and five tackles for loss. He had five games with 10 or more tackles. Dean graded out elite in run defense, average in tackling, below average in pass rush and average in coverage, per Pro Football Focus.
