Maryland added a backup quarterback for starter Malik Washington Feb. 8 in former Kent State signal caller Devin Kargman. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound rising redshirt senior appeared in just two games last year and completed 8 of 17 passes for 74 yards and an interception. Kargman came in during a 44-0 blowout loss against Oklahoma and was 8 of 16 for 74 yards and a pick.

Kargman has been a backup all four years at Kent State.
