COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The conference schedule is only half over, but with Maryland falling to 8-13 on the season and 1-9 in Big Ten play, there isn’t much hope of them making any kind of turnaround. The Terps have lost seven of their last eight games and their last three in a row by an average margin of 31 points. They followed up the fourth worst defeat in school history, a 91-48 affair at Michigan State, with a 30-point 93-63 home drubbing against Purdue.
