COLLEGE PARK, Md. —  Although there was cautious optimism heading into Maryland’s 2025-26 season, it quickly became apparent this would be a transition year under new coach Buzz Williams. But no one, from fans to media experts, expected the Terps (8-12, 1-8 Big Ten) to fare as poorly as they have.

Maryland, which is coming off of its fourth worst defeat in school history (a 91-48 loss at Michigan State), has 11 games to go and could conceivably drop all 11.
