COLLEGE PARK, Md. — One top 10 team down, two to go for Maryland in the stiffest stretch of games it will face in 2025-26. The Terps (8-11, 1-7 Big Ten) were predictably overmatched against No. 8 Illinois in Champaign, Ill., in an 89-70 route, and 72 hours later they’ll be in East Lansing, Mich., for a bout against No. 9 Michigan State. Then they’ll get a brief reprieve before returning home a week later for No. 6 Purdue.
