Nickel Humes Enters Transfer Portal

Rising junior nickelback Kevyn Humes elected to enter the transfer portal Jan. 1. The 6-foot, 185-pounder earned the starting job to start the year, but after struggling in coverage, he ceded way to La’Khi Roland (who also is in the transfer portal). Humes still played 330 total snaps in 2025, but he graded out below average, per Pro Football Focus. Humes allowed an 80 percent completion rate against him (that’s not good) and surrendered multiple touchdowns.
