Maryland’s starting defensive tackle from 2025, Dillan Fontus, elected to enter the transfer portal Dec. 30. The 6-foot-6, 292-pound rising senior accumulated 14 tackles, two sacks, eight hurries and a pass defense last season. Fontus graded out average in run defense, poorly as a tackler and below average as a pass rusher, per Pro Football Focus.
The year before, in 2024, Fontus saw action in all 12 games and had nine tackles and blocked a field goal.
