Turnovers Are Maryland’s Undoing
The Terps gave plenty of effort in Charlottesville, Va., and stayed with Virginia despite not having big man Pharrel Payne (knee), but their season-long turnover issue continued to haunt them. Maryland gave the ball up 19 times — just one shy of its season-high 20 against UNLV — and UVA ended up scoring 22 points off of those 19 miscues.
