Maryland Adds Local S Cobb

The Terps added their fifth class of 2026 commitment May 12 in three-star safety Zahir Cobb (St. Alban’s/Washington, D.C.). The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder also had offers from UVA, Va Tech, Indiana, Minnesota, West Virginia, Boston College, Penn State and South Carolina, among others, but it was Maryland that prioritized him and elected to push.

UMD area recruiter Aazaar Abdul-Rahim ran point in the recruitment and developed a close rapport with Cobb.
