Felton Selected In Third Round Of NFL Draft

GREEN BAY, Wisc. – University of Maryland wide receiver Tai Felton was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday night. 

With Felton’s selection, Maryland has now had a player chosen in eight straight and 29 of the last 31 NFL Drafts. Felton, who was chosen with the 38th pick in the third round and No. 102 overall, is Maryland's third wide receiver drafted since 2015, joining DJ Moore (2018, 1st round) andStefon Diggs (2015, 5th round).  

Felton turned in a record-setting senior season for the Terps in 2024, hauling in 96 receptions for 1,124 yards and nine touchdowns. A team captain this past season, Felton was named as a Second Team All-American by the AFCA and a Third Team All-American by the Associated Press. He was also a First Team All-Big Ten selection and named a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award.

Felton’s 96 receptions set a program record for most catches by a Terp in a single season. Across his four-year career, Felton ranks third all-time at Maryland in career receptions (172), fourth in receiving yards (2,207) and tied for fourth in receiving touchdowns (17). Felton participated in the Reese's Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine. 

Felton earned his Family Science degree from the University of Maryland

The NFL Draft continues Saturday with the final four rounds.
