C Metcalf Transfers From Northeastern To Maryland

Maryland added a big man to its roster May 12 in rising senior center Collin Metcalf, who will rotate through with Pharrel Payne and Elijah Saunders in the paint area. The 6-foot-9, 235-pounder from Nortof, Germany, spent the last three years at Northeastern before entering the transfer portal in April. Schools such as FIU and Fresno State pursued the veteran big, but he jumped at the opportunity to play high-major basketball at Maryland. Metcalf visited College Park, Md.
