Stephens Enters Transfer Portal

The final scholarship holdover from the Kevin Willard era has left the Maryland program. Rising redshirt junior guard Chance Stephens elected to leave College Park, Md., after two years with the team.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder from Riverside, Calif., transferred to UMD from Loyola Marymount before the 2022-23 campaign, but he missed the entire season with an injury. The noted 3-point marksman was granted a medical redshirt and was healthy and ready to go for 2024-25.
