Pierce Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland saw another depth piece enter the transfer portal April 1 when rising sophomore center Braden Pierce elected to leave College Park, Md. The Woodstock, Ga., native redshirted his first year at UMD and played in just five games in 2024-25 before suffering a season-ending eye injury.

The 7-footer played 36 total minutes last season, mainly subbing in during mop-up time against UMD’s mid-major foes.
