Gillespie Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland saw a second starter enter the transfer portal March 31 when point guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie decided to leave College Park, Md., after one season. The 6-foot-1 rising senior joins fellow backcourt starter Rodney Rice in the portal, along with reserves Jay Young and Tafara Gapare. The departures come in the wake of former coach Kevin Willard’s official departure for Villanova March 30.
