Rice Enters Transfer Portal

When rising junior Rodney Rice transferred to Maryland from Virginia Tech last offseason, he said it was a chance to return home. The Clinton, Md., native, who prepped at DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.), allowed that other schools reached out, but once former coach Kevin Willard extended an offer, the sharpshooting guard was all Terps.

That lasted all of one year.

After Willard officially left for Villanova March 30, Rice elected to enter the transfer portal March 31.
