Terps Have Sights Set On B1G Tourney Run, Set For Hot Illinois Squad

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland has already won eight more games and seven more conference bouts than last season, but Coach Kevin Willard and his team are far from content. The Terps (24-7, 14-6 Big Ten), who are the No. 2 seed and earned a double bye in the Big Ten tournament, know anything short of a title-game appearance would be a bit of a letdown. A program like Maryland, after all, isn’t judged by what it does in the regular season, but rather what it accomplishes in March.
