Taking a look at Maryland’s 73-70 loss at Ohio State Feb. 6:

Poor Defense, Missed Free Throws Doom Maryland

The Terps’ defense stood strong in the first half as they held Ohio State to 32 points on 36 percent shooting and 28.6 percent from 3. In general, Maryland played with energy as they actively rotated, cut off driving lanes and ran shooters off the line. The Terps challenged almost every shot and made leading scorer Bruce Thornton work for his 10 points.
