Terps Land 4-Star Edge Defender Mathis On Signing Day

Maryland had a significant addition during the regular signing period Feb. 5 in four-star Under Armour All-American Zahir Mathis (Imhotep/Philadelphia, Pa.). The 6-foot-6, 225-pound edge defender, who projects as a JACK at UMD, chose the Terps in a close battle with Florida State.

Mathis, a former Ohio State pledge, officially visited Tallahassee, Fla., and College Park, Md.
