COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland has lost four games this year by an average of five points, and in each of those four defeats the Terps (11-4, 1-3 Big Ten) have led at halftime. UMD’s inability to close out close games has become a rather troubling trend during Coach Kevin Willard’s two-plus years at the helm, and the headman’s postgame comments are starting to remind of the disappointing 2023-24 season.
