D.C. Edge Rusher Holmes Transfers From FSU To Maryland

Maryland added a significant piece from the transfer portal Jan. 5 in former Florida State edge rusher DD Holmes, who is from Washington, D.C. The redshirt freshman Holmes spent just one season in Tallahassee, Fla., where he appeared in one game and tallied one tackle and two hurries.

The 6-foot-6, 255-pounder worked mainly with FSU’s scout team and seemed set for a larger role in 2025, but Holmes sought to be closer to home.
