NT Johnson Withdraws Name From Transfer Portal

Maryland received good news from the transfer portal Dec. 27 when sophomore nose tackle Lavon Johnson chose to withdraw his name from the portal and return to College Park, Md. The 6-foot-2.5, 315-pounder put his name in the portal Dec. 23, but apparently did not receive the interest he expected. 

With Johnson back in the fold, he will be positioned to take over for Jordan Phillips at nose tackle in 2025.
