NT Johnson Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland lost a potential starter at nose tackle Dec. 23 when sophomore Lavon Johnson elected to enter the transfer portal. The 6-foot-3, 320-pounder was supposed to step in for Jordan Phillips at nose tackle in 2025.

Johnson was a top rotational piece in 2024, recording 14 tackles and a hurry in eight games. He played 165 total snaps and graded out average in run defense and tackling and below average in pass rush.
