QB Edwards Enters Transfer Portal
Maryland saw its most significant departure of the offseason Dec. 12 when starting quarterback Billy Edwards elected to enter the transfer portal. This after head coach Mike Locksley said in his final press conference of the year that Edwards “would probably be back.”
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound redshirt junior finished among the top signal callers in the Big Ten in 2024 when he passed for 2,881 yards, completed 65 percent of his throws, tossed 15 touchdowns and had nine interceptions.
