CB Whitaker Enters Transfer Portal

Junior cornerback Lionell Whitaker has elected to enter the transfer portal. The 5-foot-11, 195-pounder played three seasons as a reserve for Maryland and totaled 34 tackles and one pass defense.

He saw action in just four games in 2024 as he fell behind several underclassmen in the pecking order. He registered seven stops and saw 90 total snaps, grading out below average in coverage, per Pro Football Focus.
