COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Believe it or not, there have been occasions this year when Maryland Coach Kevin Willard hasn’t been especially pleased with star freshman Derik Queen. There was the FAMU game when Queen was benched to start the second half, because Willard “didn’t like the way he was playing,” And there were a couple other instances when the headman implored his 6-foot-10 big man to be more aggressive in the post rather than hang around the perimeter.
