Live Scouting Report: Bud Coombs

BOWIE, Md. — Terrapin Times was on hand at Bowie State University for the DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) — Life Christian Academy (South Chesterfield, Va.) game to scout Stags’ running back and Terps’ commit Bud Coombs. Here is our take on the 5-foot-10, 180-pounder:

Coombs is a compact, sinewy back with a stout base and room to take on more mass. In many ways, he reminds of Ty Johnson coming out of high school in terms of his frame and running style.
