After Strong Start, Terps Looking To Take 'Big Jump' Against Spartans

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — So far, so good for Maryland football in Year Six of the Mike Locksley regime. Rather than playing down to the competition as the Terps were wont to do in numerous non-conference bouts in years prior, UMD, for one game at least, asserted its dominance and cruised to a 50-7 victory against overmatched UConn in Week One. The Terps (1-0) were prepared, executed well in all three phases of the game, and made very few mistakes in what was a complete performance.
