LB Gotay Enters Transfer Portal

The transfer portal has re-opened, and Maryland saw another departure heading into the summer months. Starting inside linebacker Fa’Najae Gotay, who was heading into his seventh year with the program, elected to leave College Park, Md., and finish his college career elsewhere.

The Floridan Gotay was the only player remaining on UMD’s roster who played for former head coach DJ Durkin. He was known for his tackling prowess in the box, along with his leadership qualities.
