Punter McFerson Transfers From Notre Dame To Maryland

The Terps presumably found the successor to All-Big Ten punter Colton Spangler in a transfer from Notre Dame. Redshirt sophomore Bryce McFerson, who has three years of eligibility remaining, elected to commit to Maryland after entering the transfer portal in mid-April.

McFerson didn’t play his freshman season in 2022, but he became Notre Dame’s primary punter last year. He ended up averaging 45.1 yards per kick and placed five boots inside the 20.
