Press release...

DETROIT, Mich. – University of Maryland defensive back Tarheeb Still was selected by the Los Angeles Chargers in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft on Saturday.

With the selections of Still and offensive lineman Delmar Glaze, who was chosen in the third round, Maryland has now had multiple players drafted in three straight and six of the last seven NFL Drafts. The Terps have also had at least one defensive back picked in five of the last six NFL Drafts.

Still, who was chosen No. 137 overall, was a significant contributor for the Terps all four years he was in College Park.

A 2023 Second Team All-Big Ten selection, Still ranked tied for third nationally in interceptions per game (0.5) and tied for sixth nationally in total interceptions (5) during his final year at Maryland.

The senior had a pair of interceptions in each of Maryland's wins over Virginia and Nebraska, making him one of only three FBS players to have two games with two interceptions. Still was named the Jim Thorpe National Defensive Back of the Week and the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week after his two-interception performance at Nebraska.

Still was invited to the NFL Combine and the East-West Shrine Bowl after the season. A Sicklerville, New Jersey native, Still earned his degree from Maryland in Criminal Justice.
