Press release...

DETROIT, Mich. – University of Maryland offensive lineman Delmar Glaze was selected by the Las Vegas Raiders in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft on Friday night.

With Glaze’s selection, Maryland has now had a player chosen in seven straight and 28 of the last 30 NFL Drafts. Glaze, who was chosen with the 13th pick in the third round and No. 77 overall, is Maryland's highest drafted offensive lineman since Melvin Fowler was selected No. 76 overall in the 2002 NFL Draft.

The Terps have now had three offensive linemen selected in the last two drafts with Jaelyn Duncan and Spencer Anderson being chosen in 2023. It marks the first time Maryland has had an offensive lineman selected in back-to-back drafts since 2009-10 (Jaime Thomas & Bruce Campbell). It also marks the second consecutive draft that the Raiders have chosen a Terp after taking defensive back Jakorian Bennett in the fourth round of last year's draft.

Glaze has been an anchor on Maryland’s offensive line for the last three years. The Charlotte, North Carolina native started every game at left tackle for the Terps in 2023, pacing an offensive line that blocked for the fourth-ranked overall offense in the Big Ten (387.3 ypg) and the top-ranked passing offense (278.9 passing ypg) in the league.

Glaze was the second-rated pass-blocking tackle in the Big Ten via Pro Football Focus with an 83.6 grade and the fourth-rated tackle overall (min 750 snaps). He was named Third Team All-Big Ten and participated in the NFL Combine and Reese’s Senior Bowl after the season.

Glaze earned his degree from Maryland in Family Science.

The NFL Draft continues on Friday with the remainder of the third round. The draft concludes on Saturday with the final four rounds.
