Four-Star ILB Smith Chooses Terps

Four-star inside linebacker Carlton “CJ” Smith (Maury/Norfolk, Va.) had a host of high-level suitors to consider, but the 6-foot, 205-pounder opted for Maryland over several national programs March 11. Smith, who spent the first three years of his high school career at St. Frances (Baltimore, Md.), developed the strongest rapport with the Terps’ staff, and thus opted for UMD over runner-up Miami and Penn State.
