After less than a year in College Park, Md., men’s hoops assistant Mike Jones has elected to leave the program for his alma mater, Old Dominion.

After less than a year in College Park, Md., men’s hoops assistant Mike Jones has elected to leave the program for his alma mater, Old Dominion. The Largo, Md., native Jones reportedly accepted the head-coaching job at the the Virginia school and will replace Jeff Jones, who spent 11 seasons at ODU before stepping down due to health concerns.

ODU is currently 7-23 and 3-14 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Monarchs will finish with their worst record since going 5-25 in 2012-13.
