COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland (14-11, 6-8 Big Ten) overcame another slow start and ended it’s three-game losing steak by completing the season sweep of Iowa, but the main story afterwards was the emergence of freshman guard DeShawn Harris-Smith. The much-ballyhooed recruit hadn’t been meeting his potential offensively as he struggled to shoot and score against high-major competition.
