COLLEGE PARK, Md. — It took a little more than half the year, but it seems as if Maryland (13-8. 5-5 Big Ten) has established its identity. The Terps’ offense, though improved, is rather mercurial, but defensively Maryland is operating at an elite level. UMD is sixth in the country in adjusted defensive efficiency, per KenPom, and No. 1 in the Big Ten at just 63.4 points allowed per game.
