COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland has had on-again-off-again turnover issues this season, and Jan. 7 the Terps bottomed out in Minneapolis, Minn. UMD (9-6, 1-3 Big Ten) gave the ball away 15 times in the first half against Minnesota, and 17 times overall, which allowed the Gophers to stay in the game and eventually overtake Maryland in the second half. The 65-62 defeat was the Terps’ second straight and dropped them to 1-3 in the Big Ten.
