COLLEGE PARK, Md. — There’s no shame in losing to the No. 1 ranked team in college basketball, but the Terps (9-5, 1-2 Big Ten) were disappointed in their performance in a 67-53 loss to Purdue. Maryland started slowly on its home floor, was never really in the game, and couldn’t get anything going offensively.
“We were one step behind. They were better than us offensively and defensively,” senior point guard Jahmir Young said.
