COLLGE PARK, Md. — If Maryland’s bowl games are, as Coach Mike Locksley dubs, “precursors” to the upcoming season, than Dec. 30 in Nashville, Tenn., could give a glimpse into the Terps’ quarterback situation in 2024. With three-year-starter Taulia Tagovailoa opting out of his final collegiate game as a Terp, redshirt sophomore backup Billy Edwards has been given the reigns to the offense in the Music City Bowl — and possibly beyond.
