COLLEGE PARK, Md. — When you’re connecting on just over 20-percent of 3-point shots, you’ll grasp at any type of marginal improvement, regardless of circumstances. So it was that Maryland (6-4, 1-1 Big Ten) was much less concerned with its lackluster opponent in Alcorn State and chose instead to harp on its season-best 46.7-percent shooting performance from beyond the arc.
