Terps Building Confidence As Non-Conference Play Winds Down

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — There were plenty of takeaways following Maryland’s (5-4, 1-1 Big Ten) 81-75 overtime victory against Penn State, but perhaps the most important was the development of UMD’s two mainstay freshmen. Starting shooting guard DeShawn Harris-Smith and sixth-man Jamie Kaiser had two of the highest plus/minus ratings on the team against PSU and arguably had their best games of the season.
