Terps Have High Hopes With Key Returners, Star Freshmen Anchoring Squad

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The Terps had a successful first season under Kevin Willard, finishing 22-13, 11-9 in Big Ten play and reaching the second round of the NCAA tournament. Maryland has three of five starters returning from that 2022-23 team, including arguably the Big Ten’s best point guard in fifth-year senior Jahmir Young; All-Big Ten junior big man Julian Reese; and All-Big Ten fifth-year forward/wing Donta Scott.
