QB Jackson Ready To Become Leader Of Maryland's Offense

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – When Josh Jackson arrived in College Park some five months ago after transferring from Virginia Tech, the 6-foot-2, 218-pound redshirt junior had not the slightest inkling about the “curse of the Maryland quarterback.” Evidently new coach Mike Locksley, who was an assistant at UMD during the infamous Shawn Petty experiment, failed to mention the fact Maryland’s had at least one starting quarterback go down in each of the last six seasons.
