COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- When Maryland coach and D.C. native Mike Locksley assumed control of the Terps’ program in December of 2018, the former Alabama offensive coordinator dubbed it his dream job. Now, more than eight months later, the 49-year-old will finally have a chance to lead his team out on the Maryland Stadium tunnel as the sole head of the program.
