Local CB Irvin Said UMD 'Checked All The Boxes,' Commits

Maryland added a local recruit to its 2024 class July 1 in nearby cornerback Lloyd Irvin, a mid-level three-star prospect out of Flowers (Springdale, Md.). The 6-foot-3, 175-pound Irvin accumulated more than 15 scholarship offers, and ended up choosing the hometown Terps over finalists Boston College and West Virginia.

“Maryland checked off all the boxes,” said Irvin, who also had offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Pitt, Va Tech and several others.
