New Terps Center Purcell Explains Transfer Decision

Offensive center Mike Purcell spent six years at the FCS level, and now he’s eager to try his game at a power-five school. The 6-foot-4, 314-pounder announced his transfer from Duke in April and then committed to Maryland May 16, giving the Terps a potential starter following starter Colt Deery’s surprising departure. Purcell chose the Terps over offers from Arizona State, Washington State, Rutgers, San Diego State and Charlotte.
