FB Bearns Enters Transfer Portal

Maryland redshirt sophomore fullback Joe Bearns entered the transfer portal April 24. The 6-foot-1, 280-pounder played in 11 games last season and served as a blocker on many of the Terps’ running plays. “Hammerhead” Bearns was known for his toughness and ability to clear out linebackers and was often used to open holes in short-yardage situations. Bearns did not play in his freshman season in 2021 due to an injury suffered in the preseason.
