Terps Ready To Dance, Set For West Virginia In Round One

COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Maryland Coach Kevin Willard says the goal every year is to win the NCAA tournament, so ideally he’d like to be playing on April 3. But the headman admitted before his team headed out to Birmingham, Ala., for its first-round matchup against ninth-seeded West Virginia, that he’s quite pleased with what UMD (21-12) accomplished during his first year at the helm. This was supposed to be a transitional year, after all, with Maryland fighting to make it to .500.
