RECRUITING: A mid-level three-star out of Langston Hughes (Fairburn, Ga.) in the 2017 class, Nelson had some notable offers before committing to Maryland. Arizona, Louisville, Illinois, WVU and Virginia Tech all extended verbals, although most had other targets in mind.
