COLLEGE PARK, Md. — There were several positive takeaways following Maryland’s 74-68 victory against Penn State Feb. 11, but none more so than the offensive emergence of wing Hakim Hart. Typically playing second fiddle to point guard Jahmir Young, and sometimes third or fourth fiddle to Donta Scott and Julian Reese, Hart went off for a season-high 23 points on 8 of 10 shooting, 2 of 4 from 3 and 5 of 6 from the line.
