Maryland’s Defense Gave A Valiant Effort

Purdue entered the game Jan. 22 with one of the most efficient offenses in the Big Ten, and the Boilermakers had been particularly effective at home. But Maryland, after a somewhat subpar first half, held the Boilermakers mostly in-check. Purdue ended up with its lowest point total (58), shooting percentage (38.5) and 3-point percentage (15.4) of the season.
